Schwertberg/Austria – February 2008. Plastics processors GRAF from Teningen recently commissioned a two platen ENGEL machine with a clamping force of 5,500 tonnes and three injection units, for the production of underground tanks and logistics containers. ENGEL has broken all previous records with this development.

Schwertbert/Austria – March 2008. Maximum precision and economy in a compact package. This is the new, fully-electic ENGEL e-max injection moulding machine. This machine is touring through Europe from 15th April to 3rd July 2008. At 11 locations, visitors can look forward to a multi-faceted programme under the banner of “europe-max 2008”. Hot Air up to 800 deg C via the “electronic temperature control”. This machine also offers ”electronic airflow control” for extra process control. For thermo plastic welding, the new Techspan “plug-in” ceramic elements are used in a wide range of plastic welding equipment, including ‘hot air welders’, ‘automatic overlap welding machines’, ‘wedge welders’ , ’extruder welders’ & ‘Industrial Hot Air tools’.
Techspan industrial ceramic heating elements are supplied with 2 or 3 pins, to suit the host machine. The ’plug-in’ feature allows very fast replacement in critical equipment. eg. industrial hot air tool activating shrink film on high speed packaging line, or a plastic welder on-site welding a geomembrane.

With the motto “Engineering the future” injection moulding machine manufacturer ENGEL presented itself at the K-2007 fair in Düsseldorf - With great success !
In total 17 machines were exhibited, three new product introductions and approx. twenty percent more visitors to the booth. Much attention was given to the new fully-electric e-max compact machine, the EXJECTION® process as well as the new ENGEL speed with 5.000 kN clamping force.

Techspan have supplied NZ’s largest ’sealed ink cup’ pad printer. The machine will be installed later this month at an NZ based customer in Auckland. The new COMEC XP-20 pad printer employs the latest in ’side-way’ ’sealed ink-cup’ technology - with a whopping 250mm in diameter.

FAI medals and diplomas aim at giving public recognition to those who have made outstanding contributions to aeronautics and astronautics, especially in the field of sporting aviation. They are awarded each year at the Opening Ceremony of the annual FAI General Conference. The new ENGEL e-motion “Combi” : Multi-component injection moulding – now “all electric”
ENGEL has now extended the scope of its all-electric drive concept to include multi-component injection moulding (Engel “Combimelt” technology), thus enabling user of this technology to achieve an even higher standard of product quality. The new ENGEL e-motion Combi series comprises four basic machine sizes with clamping forces of 1,000, 1,500, 1,800 and 2,800 kN. They can each be equipped with up to three injection units.
